Why Blogger Stats is not so accurate?

WordPress is one of the best blogging platform available. Beginners start with Blogger, to learn more about blogging. Later they understand the real power of WordPress and decide to move from Blogger to WordPress. Many bloggers who move from Blogger to WordPress complain that they lose traffic after they migrate from blogger to WordPress. But that’s not true. In this post, I will clearly explain to you why Blogger Stats is not accurate.

  • WordPress Stats:
    • How to identify whether your traffic has been increased or decreased after migration?:

Blogger Stats:

The blogger dashboard is a very simple, clean one. It does not provide you as much as data you want. You are shown a lot of page views. You think that so many visitors are coming to your website, as shown by Blogger Stats. You start to imagine that your blog has become so famous. But, actually, it is not.

I guess your face turns red. But, it’s the fact.

Every time, you publish a post, your post gets too many visitors even before sharing them with social media. Have you ever thought about how did the visitors know about your latest post?

Those visitors are not humans. They are actually web crawlers. They have come to your website to index your latest post. They are not real humans.

WordPress Stats:

Now, let’s come to the WordPress dashboard. WordPress dashboard is indeed a better dashboard than a blogger. It has a lot of data. You can check where the traffic has come from, search keywords, demographics, which author’s post is getting a huge amount of traffic and which link your visitors have clicked.

Though it is not as powerful as google analytics, it is still one of the best ones on the internet.

Coming to traffic, the WordPress dashboard only shows human visitors. They do not display the traffic from web crawlers. And only because of this, migrators believe that their traffic has been decreased after moving from blogger to WordPress.

How to identify whether your traffic has been increased or decreased after migration?:

If you want to analyze whether your traffic has increased or decreased then you must actually consider analyzing with google analytics before and after migration. Google Analytics is one, which gives data more accurate. And definitely, after setting up the WordPress site right, you will see the growth in traffic.
